Joe Biden on Monday called for Putin to face a war crimes trial following the Bucha massacre in Ukraine.

Indeed, Ukrainian officials said the bodies of 410 civilians were found near Kyiv in towns and cities that were recently taken by Russian forces, Fox News reports. In Bucha, more than 100 civilians were found in mass graves.

“He is a war criminal,” Biden said Monday, promising that the United States will continue “to provide Ukraine with weapons they need to continue to fight.”

He added that Putin “should be held accountable” and said that the United States needs to “get all the details so this can be an actual war crime trial.”

“This guy is brutal,” he said. “What is happening in Bucha is outrageous and everyone has seen it. I think it is a war crime.”
