On the Sidewalks of New York is a weekly feature at Human Events wherein Jacqueline Toboroff, a native New Yorker, will share her observations and candid commentary on the goings-on in our nation’s largest city.  Wherever you live, and whatever you feel, there is no escaping the fact that New York City matters.

New York City is the world’s city. What happens here matters. What happens here is the canary in the coal mine, the harbinger of the bigger battle to come.

We face the war being waged by the Federal government and its compliant media (in cahoots with a Globalist cabal) using educators to attempt to subvert parents and inculcate children with CRT. The sole intention is to tear down the Judeo-Christian American ethos. The weapon is money; funded by American taxpayers. The Federal government uses our capital and gives contracts to schools that prove they’re committed to CRT.  Substantial amounts of money from myriad Covid Relief stimulus packages under the Biden administration has been and continues to be allocated to schools which use this money to expand CRT initiatives.

In New York City, the Adams administration is also accelerating expansion of CRT under the radar.  Just one example is a $6.5 million dollar contract given to Eagle Academy Foundation and Teachers College, Columbia University to “develop a comprehensive k-12 black studies curriculum.”

This is a multimillion-dollar industry that is dark and difficult to trace due to an intentional utter lack of transparency. Research yields nebulous and amorphous acronyms for the CRT initiative. Myriad people stand to profit without having to cite any examples of efficacy or provide credentials for teaching CRT. If you think it's difficult to get honest and articulate Covid numbers on the internet, try researching CRT; it’s Herculean.  No reporter reporting on CRT can do justice to this poison because they can’t even get a handle on the amount of taxpayer money funding it and information on all the players involved.

By now, many parents have heard about CRT (critical race theory).  Some are less familiar with its tentacles, DEI (diversity equity inclusion) and SEL (social emotional learning). With the media impact brought about by the killing of George Floyd, during government’s mismanagement of covid, CRT was pushed into elite Manhattan private schools in the dark of night (you went to school one morning and there it was). It affected all aspects of school life.  It’s getting worse despite overwhelming parental rejection.  In fact, parental pushback is so severe, thus far “41 states have introduced bills or taken other steps that would restrict teaching critical race theory or limit how teachers can discuss racism and sexism.”

Wherever you live in America, you should care about what’s being force fed into Manhattan private school children. Your tax dollars aren’t funding private grade schools but are funding higher education - big time.

New York City’s elite nurseries and private schools are feeders to the country's best universities. Graduates of these esteemed institutions are primed and plucked by top investment firms, Silicon Valley, Government, Big Pharma, and all walks of private and public sector, which are ultimately responsible for the circular firing squad of inescapable wokeism impacting daily life.  So, the beginning of the food chain is critical and the beginning of that food chain is Manhattan private school children, nursery age on up.

Young children are targets because they’re malleable (in Middle East autocracies, they’re sometimes used as shields or bombs). In radical blue states and cities like New York City, capturing the young isn’t even difficult; the elite residing here pride themselves on open mindedness. Their children's wokeness is a status symbol.  Parents in top social networks brag about having a “they” or a transitioning four-year-old.  They talk about bringing down unisex bathrooms at an all-girls’ school like they’ve solved AIDS; with jubilation. Minus any parental traditions (frowned upon as racist because our traditions harken to America’s creation in 1776 by white people), brain control is not only possible but probable. Impressionable minds are ripe for grooming and ideal foot soldiers for the Federal government.  Politically expedient tools, children lecture parents, participate in activism causes, and are paraded out like Greta Thunberg to influence policy based on emotional arguments.

Three years in nursery, plus another twelve in grade school, equates to fifteen years of being lobotomized and primed by the time it comes to writing that college admittance essay. The eighteen-year-old “child” is now fully committed to the cause. Thus, the children’s road to perdition means smooth sailing for the hyper woke universities and professors.

So, if you’re currently nervous about the state of our military, worried your five-year-old might be taught about masturbation in school, concerned that securing a job has more to do with race and gender than merit, you better care about Manhattan’s private school kids. Because based on the trajectory, they’re going to be angry, confused, and in charge.
