China is considering a law that would punish parents for their misbehaving kids, forcing them to teach how to “love the party, nation, people and socialism.”

China’s parliament is expected to consider a draft of the Family Education Promotion Law this week, which would punish parents by ordering them to participate in family education guidance programs if their children are criminal or problematic.

A draft of the proposed law also encourages parents to set aside time for kids to exercise and rest, Fox News reports. The law will be debated by the National People’s Congress during its standing committee session.

“There are many reasons for adolescents to misbehave, and the lack of inappropriate family education is the major cause,” Zang Tiewei, spokesman of the Legislative Affairs Commission for the National People’s Congress said.

Additionally, the law would require parents instill children with a sense to “respect the elderly and care for the young,” according to a draft.
