In response to a story posted by Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec on Wednesday about battalion commander Andrew Rhodes, Amber Martin, a public affairs specialist for the U.S. Army at Fort Carson, wrote the following.

“The command is aware of an event involving one of our battalion commanders,” the spokeswoman said. “We are conducting a preliminary inquiry to gather more information. It would be inappropriate to provide any further details in order to protect the integrity of the inquiry.”

Human Events did a follow-up story Thursday, again under Jack Posobiec’s byline, which included some of the since deleted tweets from Rhodes’ private “woke” Twitter account.

We will continue to report on this as the story develops.
