Mississippi governor Haley Barbour has announced he will not run for President in 2012, saying "a candidate for president today is embracing a 10-year commitment to an all-consuming effort, to the virtual exclusion of all else. His, or her, supporters expect and deserve no less than absolute fire in the belly from their candidate. I cannot offer that with certainty, and total certainty is required."
I got a lot of heat for wasting everyone's time when I reported that John Thune of South Dakota had ruled out a Presidential run, so if you're a dejected Haley Barbour fan, I will leave you to pick up the shattered pieces of your life in dignified silence.
In other news, John Thune is not running for President.
