It must be so difficult juggling an insatiable desire for television facetime and a sudden yearning for privacy and anonymity. Let's see, what to do today: Hold a choreographed photo op so we can preen for the cameras or go to the market and squeeze some fruit? "I just miss - I miss being anonymous," he said. "I miss Saturday morning, rolling out of bed, not shaving, getting into my car with my girls, driving to the supermarket, squeezing the fruit, getting my car washed, taking walks. I can't take a walk."
Aww, poor thingg. He can't take a walk? Well, since he golfs every opportunity he gets, how about skipping the cart and walking the course? Or is lugging a bag around and getting some exercise beneath him? His wife champions her "Let's Move" campaign, so why doesn't he move? Preferably, out of the White House.
The hypocrisy here is staggering. This is the most aggressive presidency at using the media (they don't mind being used), he's on television more than any of his predecessors, he goes on ESPN every March to promote his college basketball selections, yet now we're to believe he'd rather be anonymous? Well, here's hoping he can return to obscurity come January 2013. Better yet, call a pres conference and announce that you're retiring from politics so you can spend more time with your family and and go squeeze fruit.
