Regnery Publishing (sister company to Human Events) announced it has signed a contract to publish The Essential American: Documents and Speeches Every American Should Read. Compiled by Jackie Gingrich Cushman with a foreword by former Speaker Newt Gingrich, The Essential American will be released fall of 2010.
The Essential American provides the fundamental documents of our nation’s history, including the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, the text of speeches that have inspired the nation, including Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address and President Ronald Reagan’s “Tear Down This Wall” Speech, as well as several lesser-known documents and speeches that forged our nation’s character.
