Lukas spoke at the Heritage Foundation today and said most college women have "bad information." She is a product of a pop culture that promotes promiscuity, living together before marriage and encourages that thought that "children are career killers."

The feminist movement has dictated what to talk about and has presented "skewed perspectives presented as fact."

Lukas says women need to make informed choices about their health, including taking into consideration how to raise their children. She said all parents make choices, and mothers need to consider what they value more, quality time with their child, or a higher paycheck. Lukas understands that some women don't have the resources to stay-at-home and therefore day cares need to be more effective and better-run.

Lukas says that the phenomenon of living together before marriage is damaging in the long run. "Living together first often means that couples marry out of guilt, not out of love," she said.

"Getting married becomes the path of least resistance," Lukas said.

When asked what the picture on the front of her book means, Lukas laughed and said she simply thought it was "catchy" because it's a bit of a caricature of a housewife, which today has somehow become a bad word.
