Campus protests aim to kick Coca-Cola off campus.

Liberal activists at Macalester College in Minnesota want school officials to ban Coca-Cola products from campus according to an Associated Press report cited by WSBTV.

The school's Social Responsibility Committee recently voted to ban Coke products on campus. It's now up to the school's president to decide whether the prohibition will be imposed.

Protesters allege human rights, labor and environment abuses by the soda company in various countries around the world.

A Coca-Cola spokesman tells the AP, "the so-called 'Killer Coke' campaign is being led by a small group of 'student activists' who are against the globalization of business."
