The $10 million by Congresswoman Harris will jump-start her Senate race and it proves that she is a "junkyard dog" set to target Nelson's seat in 2004. Rich Democrats have been buying their seats and the voter(s) seem to like it. Examples:
1) Jon Corzine spent $60 million (of his $400 Goldman Sachs pot) on his senate seat in 2000
2) Maria Cantwell used $10 million in stock from her Real Networks portfolio to use as in bankrolling her Senate seat in 2000
3) Mark Dayton (of the Dayton Hudson empire) used millions to win his seat in Minnesota in 2000
