It has been reported recently that Kate Michelman, longtime leader of NARAL, is considering entering the Pennsylvania Senate race, not as a Democrat, but an Independent.

Why?

Apparently, mostly as a protest to the candidacy of the presumptive Democratic nominee, Bob Casey Jr., who is pro-life. Michelman is, of course, a longtime supporter of Mrs. Clinton, but one doubts that Hillary would support such a tactic. Hillary recently gave $10,000 to Casey’s campaign, and has made defeating Rick Santorum one of her top priorities this election year.

But if Michelman has her way, she will only serve as a spoiler, taking away votes from Casey, ensuring a Santorum victory and relegating the pro-abortion Senate Democrats to continued minority status.
