The New York Daily News reports that Sen. Clinton’s team is "quietly offering free tickets for a reelection event next Friday, to be held at fashion designer) Diane von Furstenberg's studio," meant to raise funds from the cash-flush gay community.

"I got two telephone calls from people who are high profile in the community, and they were asked to come for free," says one veteran activist.

Paying guests of the fund-raiser are expected to part with at least $500. Recently, an internal email was leaked from the gay rights group Empire State Pride Agenda's executive director, Alan Van Capelle, who said he thought rewarding Hillary’s mediocre performance - gaywise - with a fund-raiser would "actually hurt" the homosexual community.  However, he said he would still vote for Mrs. Clinton.
