More Americans looking abroad for acceptance!

Robert Linder, a professor of history at Kansas State University, will offer his take on anti-American sentiment abroad in a former student’s documentary reports the Kansas State Collegian.

The film "America Non Grata," is directed by Alex Berkley - a graduate of the University of Kansas who now resides in Paris - and focuses on how the rest of the world views the United States in light of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 according to the article.

Berkley wants Linder's opinion for the documentary because the professor has spent a significant amount of time abroad, reports the Collegian:

"Living that long abroad exposes you to the reoccurring themes of anti-Americanism and the various related arguments," Berkley said. "It's really only after years abroad that you develop the ability to see the U.S. and its culture through foreign eyes."

According to the article, Professor Linder considers this effort most vital to American survival.

"Most Americans are so inward looking that they often do not know or do not seem to care what the rest of the world thinks of us," he said. "That will be fatal if it continues," says Linder.

Why are Americans looking abroad for acceptance and/or approval? You'd think after the backlash John Kerry received for his "world test" remark during the 2004 election, the Left would re-think this position but apparently not. Using the Left's logic, maybe we should seriously consideration what Al-Qaeda thinks of America.
