Rep. Jack Kingston (R.-Ga.), vice chairman of the House Republican Conference, has an excellent post on RedState.com about the Muhammad cartoons, Iran, oil and the War on Terror. Yes, he covers quite a few topics on this slow Friday afternoon.

(I'm so glad to see Kingston embrace blogging. But as I've written before, it's Republicans, not Democrats, who are making the most strides when it comes to this new way of communicating.)

Back to Kingston's point: "We need to open our eyes."

The Iran situation coupled with a growing unrest in the Islamic community sparked by cartoons is alarming. It is clear that some radicals have hijacked the Koran to help promote their own extremist ideology which could tip the scales toward more serious consequences.

As we stand on the front line of the War on Terror, we must be prepared to address threats against our nation.
