Rep. Todd Tiahrt (R.-Kan.), a candidate for House majority whip, quite possibly had the best quip of the night on Blog Row.
When asked about the Democrats’ shenanigans during President Bush’s State of the Union and the party’s obstructionist agenda, Tiahrt responded:
“Now that ‘The West Wing’ is canceled, Democrats don’t even have a fictional agenda,” he quipped, much to the delight of a tired crew of bloggers who had put in a 10-hour day.
Tiahrt said a party that stands in the way isn’t a party that will be able to win the hearts and minds of voters at the ballot box.
