Coming around the steps leading to the Senate floor less than an hour after Alito won his confirmation vote, I saw a odd group of people coming together. Sen.Orrin Hatch (R.-Utah) was being approached by PFAW President Ralph Neas and Vice-President Elliot Mincberg

Both of the liberals who fought bitterly against the confirmation of Judge Samuel Alito were congratulating the senator on a job well done. Hatch was gracious, but didn't seem eager to become close friends with the two.
