John and Teresa Again Reveal Their True Colors

Memo to the Kerrys: please, please keep being yourselves.

This week Americans had the opportunity to see the real John and Teresa...again. And I'm willing to bet that the "undecideds" probably didn't like what they saw. This is a fact that bodes poorly for the Leftist, Northeastern elitist duo, considering that voters who are still undecided following all the information they've received from the campaigns, debates, and 527s are likely to cast their vote for whomever seems more likeable.

First, Sir John re-revealed himself to be the hybrid of rank opportunist and staggering hypocrite we anti-Kerryites have known him to be all along. How so? This time his campaign took the Democrats' politicization of the shortage of flu vaccines a step further by criticizing Vice President Cheney for getting a flu shot. Agence France Presse reported Kerry's campaign as saying the following: "Once again, the Bush administration proves that it is the 'do as we say, not as we do' White House. The very week that Secretary Thompson is telling Americans to keep calm, Dick Cheney, John Snow and Bill Frist are getting flu shots. It is unfortunate that the Bush administration failed to do the work necessary to ensure that all Americans, including those most at risk, had been able to get shots as well."

Interestingly, as the AFP report notes, the Vice President "would fit into the government's definition of those most vulnerable to a looming influenza epidemic as he has a long history of heart disease."

The icing on the cake, though, was the revelation shortly thereafter that President Clinton, the man the Kerry team can't wait to have on the campaign trail, received a flu shot following his quadruple heart bypass surgery.

(Still waiting for that public admission of a mistake from the Kerry campaign - you know, the sort of thing they're trying to get President Bush to say on camera so they can use it over and over again in campaign commercials.)

Next, the country heard Widow-Heinz-now-Mrs-Kerry reveal her elitist snobbery when she said that First Lady Laura Bush has never had a real job as a grown-up. Teresa was right - except for Mrs. Bush's time as a teacher, librarian, mother, and First Lady. Having been caught with her brain unbuttoned, Teresa set down her gin-soaked white raisins and issued an apology for "forgetting" Mrs. Bush's service as a teacher and librarian. But the apology created its own firestorm, because it still didn't recognize "stay-at-home-mom" as a "real job."

Considering that anyone in touch with politics - and Mrs. Kerry is - knows Laura Bush is a former teacher and librarian, many Bush-supports believe Teresa's comments revealed the "high-esteem" in which liberals like herself hold teachers, librarians, homemakers, and other "peons."

Memo to the Kerrys: please, please keep being yourselves. The more the nation gets to know you, the less they like you.
