On Tuesday, July 13th, onetime Washington Redskins' star Darrell Green was joined by entertainers Pat Boone, Dean Jones and Grammy winner Marvin Winans at a press conference supporting the Defense of Marriage Act and the Federal Marriage Amendment.
When Green was asked by HUMAN EVENTS' Roland Nobile whether his views represented the majority of players in the NFL or in sports in general he replied: "I think that I can probably speak for most people, most athletes, because I was in the business for so long [20 years in the NFL], that all of us believe that traditional marriage is the fundamental foundation. When you're on television, 'hi mom, hi dad,' because guess what, we're not here without mom and dad. Its not really that complicated, its how you re-create."
