In a taped address to the 32nd Annual National Right to Life Convention, which is being held just outside of Washington, D.C., from July 1-3, President Bush recounted the strides that his administration has made in protecting the right to life. He emphasized his commitment to a ban on federal funding of embryonic stem cell research as well as his opposition to cloning for reproductive or therapeutic purposes.

After the Bush??¢â???¬â???¢s remarks, National Right to Life Committee President Wanda Franz exclaimed to heavy applause: ??¢â???¬?????Isn??¢â???¬â???¢t it great to have a pro-life president???¢â???¬
