The New York Post reported that when former President Clinton testifies before the 9/11 commission at least one Democrat will be willing to be tough. In an interview with the Post, former Sen. Bob Kerrey (Neb.) said that he hopes Clinton will elaborate on why death threats against America by Osama bin Laden were unanswered by the White House.
The one question Kerrey wants to ask Clinton, as told to the Post, is "Why didn't you consider Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda a strategic threat? Why when they declared war on us - give me your reason for not declaring war on them."
Was Clinton distracted by the Monica Lewinsky scandal? Kerrey says he might ask about that too.
