It's not a good day for the city," South Euclid, Ohio Mayor Georgine Welo said yesterday.

Was there a terrorist attack? The untimely death of a community leader? Did someone shoot her dog?

No - the city had just discovered it had no legal standing to collect $1.4 million in income taxes from a local woman who had just won the lottery. "We were all excited until we went to go for the money and learned that we are not entitled to it," said Welo. "We are very saddened by the news."

Those greedy citizens, always wanting to hang on to the money they earn.

When will they learn?
