Hillary's Living History: The China Connection Reading "Hillary Watch" ["Revising Living History"] a light went on. Am I the only one who gets it? It is Red Chinese who are buying up Living History. (I was wondering who was buying it.) Don't you see what this is? Once again the Chinese Communists have found a way to funnel millions to the Clintons. They helped finance their '92 and '96 campaigns using the Riadys and others as conduits and now they're doing it again through this book. The Clinton Administration enabled the Chinese to perfect their missiles so that they could ultimately aim them at the United States. As we left the naval bases on either side of the Panama Canal, they were taken over by the Red Chinese. With these bases, they can give aid to Communist rebels in Central and South America, control shipping through the Panama Canal and deposit Chinese, who can work their way through Central America and Mexico and cross our borders at will, like other immigrants from around the world. There's no telling what else the Clintons did for the Red Chinese. The Red Chinese are obviously one of the groups that have bought and paid for the Clintons.

Cloak And Dagger With CIA Agents In reference to Mr. Decker's review Richard Helms, who took secrets to his grave ["For Whose Eyes Only?"], sometimes the same can be said for those on a lower level of the C.I.A. Some years ago my first cousin, long retired from his job as a government accountant, dropped dead of a heart attack. Later his daughter was surprised at her place of business by a gentleman passing by and noticing the last name on her desk. He gave a first name. "I used to work in the C.I.A. with a man with that name." (Only one person in the country could have had such a moniker.) His family had never suspected what my cousin had concealed, but now light was thrown on some odd experiences they had had while living overseas.

Disappointed With Recall Coverage I was shocked to receive the October 13 issue of HUMAN EVENTS and see that Arnold Schwarzenegger's great victory and Gray Davis' recall was not the lead story of your post election issue. In fact, it was relegated to the bottom right hand corner of the front page ["Conservative Support Sustained Arnold"]. What media bias! HUMAN EVENTS should have led with a cover story emphasizing the 62% of the vote that Schwarzenegger and crybaby, Tom McClintock received.

In Defense Of Rush Nice article in defense of Rush ["With Half His Brain Tied Behind His Back"]. I am a Registered nurse who specializes in pain management. Having a failed back surgery is not uncommon. Needing to take painkillers to control pain does not make you a drug addict. There is a major difference between physical dependence of a drug and addiction to a drug. The liberal media never would recognize or acknowledge the difference.

I am a young Black male, a Democrat and a resident of the inner city. I have discovered (to my amazement) that when I listen to Rush Limbaugh's radio program I agree with much of what he says. I've repeatedly heard that Rush is a racist, a warmonger, I also heard he used his broadcast to attack single moms, poor people, unions and so on. None of this is true. Rush talks about common sense principles and responsibility. He does not preach hate or divisiveness. Rush is accurate and fair when he's critical of the politically correct insanity so many misguided people embrace as enlightenment. Rush has taken responsibility for his actions and is now getting treatment. Rush never claimed to be infallible as his critics suggest. I and tens of millions of others will remember you in our prayers Rush. Be strong and get well soon!

I've also read the horrible things many columnists are calling Rush for his addiction to painkillers—"schlub," "big fat idiot"—and from here on they really get rotten. I would suggest that a good number of these writers use the only legal drug available, one you can get anywhere at any time—alcohol. And if statistics are correct then about 20% of them will be addicted to alcohol. No one seems to get too upset about addiction to alcohol, in spite of the fact that it does far more damage to your brain, kidneys, heart and liver than Rush's painkillers do. And in some of the remarks these people are making about Rush, the extensive damage to their brain caused by alcohol addiction, is quite evident.

Cain Clarifies Views On Stem Cell Research Upon reading the transcript of my interview with you, ["Herman Cain Will Crusade Against Income Tax"] I realized that my answer on human cloning could be misconstrued and was not as clear as my views on the issue. Allow me to make myself clear. Without reservation, I am totally opposed to human cloning and embryonic stem cell research. The ethical and moral issues that surround human cloning, for reproduction or biomedical research, are significant. It is never acceptable to create life for the sole purpose of destroying it. The embryos that result from cloning-for-biomedical-research are human beings. When they are destroyed to benefit medical research or to extract stem cells, a human life is taken. Man is not meant to be harvested and then destroyed. The embryo is a person from the moment of creation, and a society that violates human life in such a way cannot long stand. In recent years, there has been great promise in adult stem cell research. The reality of the situation is that medical researchers want to use embryos because it is easier to control and less costly than adult stem cell research. Using adult stem cells is an effective, non-controversial way to advance medical technology without the expense of human life. Thank you for the opportunity to explain in greater detail my views on human cloning and stem cell research.
