On Wednesday's Human Events Daily, Jack Posobiec discussed the fallout from the so-called “Iran war draft” with social media analyst Evita Duffy. Posobiec called the reports a hoax, noting the panic it has caused among young men.

“But the Iran war draft hoax, and that's what we're going to call it, it was a hoax,” Posobiec said. “It has been absolutely devastating for a lot of young men. Actually, Evita, talk to me about that because this is something that I've sensed because I hear it a lot. But do you see this? You've always sort of been our TikTok whisperer. When you go out there, is this something that you see a lot of people talking about?”

Duffy confirmed that concern about the draft—and even talk of including women—has sparked widespread anxiety. “Yes, and it's actually been a problem for young women as well because there's been talk of actually including women in the draft too. So it's actually, it doesn't matter gender-wise, they're both freaking out about it,” she said.

Duffy also highlighted a generational shift in values that has political implications. Citing an NBC poll, she said young men now prioritize starting a family as a central measure of personal success, while Gen Z women place it near the bottom. “There is a big value gap between young men and young women. And that's actually been very positive for the GOP because young men, instead of kind of leaning left as they usually do with their female counterparts, are actually gravitating toward the GOP,” she explained.

Duffy noted that the draft panic is threatening to erode that momentum: “Yet now you're seeing this hyper fixation on the draft, on Iran, on foreign policy, and it's taking away all this momentum and the ground that we gained with President Trump in 2024. At least that's the polling saying. We'll find out once we actually go to the polls in November and see what happens after these midterms. But if the polls mean anything, it's that we are losing ground with young men and it's going to be a huge problem because, again, we rely on this demographic to win now.”
