JACK POSOBIEC: Netflix's politically motivated cult of wokeness has gone too far

"Then all of a sudden, the show just got—and I’m going to say it again—the show got gayer and gayer and gayer and gayer."

Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec sharply criticized Netflix over pedo-programming in the final season of Stranger Things, arguing that the show’s descent reflects ideological capture at the highest levels of the streaming platform. “And I’m just calling it out. I’m calling it out for what it is,” Posobiec said. “Netflix put pedo-programming in Stranger Things.”

Posobiec stopped short of claiming that former President Barack Obama or former First Lady Michelle Obama directly ordered the content, but he argued their influence over Netflix is undeniable. “Now, I can’t sit here and say that Barack Obama and Michelle Obama ordered that,” he said. “But what I can also see, and what we can all see, the world can see, is that Barack Obama [and] Michelle Obama signed a massive deal with Netflix going all the way back to 2018.” He further noted former Obama administration official Susan Rice, who returned to Netflix after serving in the Biden administration, and the subsequent extension of the Obama deal.

“So do you wonder when did Netflix get so woke?” Posobiec asked. “Why did every single thing they do have to turn into gay race communism? Why did every single adaptation have to become racial and LGBT? Why did everything that Netflix did, especially for kids, have to be LGBT?”

“Season one, amazing. So good,” he said. “It was a show about small town mystery, throw in a sci-fi element, super 1980s nostalgia vibes, instant hit. They even talked about MKUltra back in them there days.” That changed, he argued, as the series progressed. “Then all of a sudden, the show just got—and I’m going to say it again—the show got gayer and gayer and gayer and gayer.”

He was especially critical of season five, accusing the show of revisiting earlier material in what he described as a grotesque manner. “Now season five, you’ve basically got gay Darth Vader versus gay Luke Skywalker,” Posobiec said. “And they go back and throw in this thing with Will when he was a little kid. So they go back to season one—completely disgusting, utterly revolting.”

“And anyone who saw this with eyes to see knows exactly what I’m talking about,” he added.

Posobiec argued that Netflix’s leadership structure makes it impossible to separate content decisions from political influence. “You can’t separate the Obamas’ influence from what they did,” he said. “And for what is in the number one show around the world.”

He then turned to the broader media landscape, discussing Netflix’s reported $83 billion bid for Warner Bros. Discovery, which he said excluded major cable assets. “They said, ‘We don’t want all the TV channels. We don’t want CNN. We don’t want TNT. We’ll give you $83 billion,’” Posobiec said.

By contrast, Posobiec touched on Paramount’s reported $108 billion hostile bid. Paramount "goes straight to the shareholders, bypasses the board, bypasses all the woke lefties,” he said. “Because they know who’s on the board. Susan Rice is on the board.”

President Donald Trump has also weighed in on the potential media consolidation, warning of antitrust concerns and criticizing Paramount’s handling of CBS and 60 Minutes. “He said the deal could have big problems because of the anti-trust issues,” Posobiec said, adding that Trump “has everyone exactly where he wants them.”

It comes as the 2026 Golden Globe nominations were announced Monday, with the series’ final season receiving zero nods.
