Former National Security Advisor John Bolton saw his home raided by the FBI on Friday morning, following reporting from Human Events in March 2025 that, while he served in the first Trump administration, he was taking home yellow legal pads every night containing his notes.

The FBI raided former national security adviser and former UN ambassador John Bolton's home, and there are "a lot of questions about whether or not this had to do with classified information," host Jack Posobiec said, noting that Human Events reported in March of this year that John Bolton was known for his yellow legal pads.

"He would have these yellow legal pads whenever he was in meetings," Posobiec said. These included National Security Council meetings, meetings with the President of the United States, and with world leaders. "He was known for taking those pads home at the end of the day."

"Good morning, John!" Posobiec posted in March. "Remember when you were in the White House and you took your yellow note pads home every night from the NSC so you could write your book? Sure hope that was all unclassified."

"This was a pattern that had gone on," Posobiec said, noting that Human Events had reported it "months ago."

"Here's how classified information works. It is not the document itself that was classified. A piece of paper is not classified. It's just a piece of paper. What's classified is the information that is written on the paper, that is projected on the paper, printed, photographed, whatever it might be, as well as the classified source.

"So the chain of custody, the method of extraction of that information, is also classified... The fact that it was obtained in a classified, sensitive manner makes it classified," Posobiec said.

Back in 2020, Posobiec had concerns as well. "If Bolton 'circulated' his manuscript before it was out of prepublication review that may violate his NDA," Posobiec speculated.

"Did someone on the NSC illegally leak John Bolton's manuscript to the NY Times?" Posobiec said in January 2020.

On Friday morning, at 7 am, Bolton's home in Bethesda, Maryland was raided by the FBI. This raid was part of a "national security investigation in search of classified records."

Bolton was under investigation in 2020 under the Trump administration's Department of Justice, but that investigation was dropped by the Biden administration's Department of Justice.

Posobiec spoke about the raid and the potentially classified info on Friday on War Room with Steve Bannon, saying that it was CIA Director John Ratcliffe who provided Kash Patel with US intelligence that served as the basis for the warrant to raid Bolton's home.

“Bolton disingenuously attacking Trump for mishandling classified information will go down as one of the most audacious and ironic acts of malice in political history,” Posobiec said. “Bolton shouldn’t have been throwing stones in his (now-raided) glass house.”
