Charlie Kirk is calling for a series of immediate steps to bring long-delayed clarity and accountability in the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein and his network, with specific pressure on the Department of Justice to act.
The list of ten specific action items includes calls to unseal critical documents, interview key officials, and declassify underlying facts surrounding Epstein’s prosecution and death. Former State Department official Mike Benz has amplified these concerns, urging the DOJ to release the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) report on the handling of the Epstein case.
Kirk called for the DOJ to work towards unsealing "all the Maxwell grand jury testimony,” referring to Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking in 2021 and is currently in prison. Maxwell is reportedly prepared to go before Congress and testify if called to do so. “Green-light Maxwell to speak freely and learn what she knows,” reads another item, suggesting prosecutors may still be limiting her cooperation.
He said that authorities should “bring Acosta in for a full interview to find out what he knew about Epstein working for foreign intelligence." Alexander Acosta is the former US Attorney in Florida, who struck a controversial non-prosecution agreement with Epstein in 2007.
The Trump-era indictment of Epstein in 2019 also remains partially sealed. Kirk said that the Trump DOJ should release “non-CSAM underlying facts” from that case to understand the scope of the charges. Another key issue raised by Kirk was: “Need a full report as to why 2007 Bush/Comey investigation of Epstein was so butchered.” That probe ended with Epstein receiving a lenient plea deal.
Kirk also called for investigators to uncover how the infamous financier amassed his wealth: “Get to bottom of how Epstein got his $. Gather bank records and financial statements.”
In addition, Kirk noted the questions that remain over the night of Epstein’s death in 2019: “Release the names of prisoners on the prison floor night Epstein was murdered. Overrule the prisoner privacy rules.”
“Get the missing minutes of the prison footage,” another item reads, referring to surveillance gaps reported at the time of Epstein’s death.
Finally, the list calls for a public briefing: “Press conference asap to explain any confusion.”
