Vice President Kamala Harris has the System with her. President Trump has the Garbage with him. This endgame clash between the rulers and the ruled has been decades in the making and is coming to a dramatic head in tomorrow’s election. America’s essential destiny as a free and exceptional nation is on the line. Will we claw our way back to individual freedom, free market capitalism and limited, representative government, or continue to slide into ever-darker tyranny?
That is the choice before us.
America has only faced two other existential moments: its birth in the Revolution, and the Union’s survival in the Civil War. This is another do-or-die moment for the Republic. And the only person who can save America from ruin is the twice-impeached, indicted, arrested, convicted, shot, garbage man and McDonald’s fry cook.
The System – made up of the permanent administrative state, the security state, the imperial media, Big Tech, Hollywood and other avatars of power – has long been in control, abusing and expanding power, dispensing propaganda, crushing freedoms, lying with impunity, waging pointless wars, impoverishing the nation, exporting jobs, and destroying livelihoods and communities as it enriches and empowers itself.
It got away with this sinister perversion of “democracy” – and with considering you “bitter clingers” (Barack Obama), “irredeemable” and “deplorable” (Hillary Clinton), “Nazis” (Harris) and “garbage” (Joe Biden) - for a very long time. Until June 16, 2015, when a blue-collar billionaire from New York took an escalator and made history.
Long before he decided to enter the political fray, Donald Trump expressed continual frustration with the suffering inflicted upon hard-working men and women by the corrupt Washington uniparty and craven globalists here and abroad. He noticed how these anti-American agents never looked the American people in the eye as they were lying to them and selling them out. He grew increasingly distressed as he saw the country he loved being targeted, attacked and destroyed by its own crooked System.
By mid-2015, he took on the heavy challenge of seeking the White House, not for power-tripping self-aggrandizement, but to serve these overlooked Americans, whom he knew deserved a fighter in their corner. During that campaign, he made the most powerful statement I have ever heard from any leader. He looked the forgotten men and women square in the eye and said, “I see you, I hear you, and I will be your champion.”
To those left behind, ignored, dismissed, mocked, abused, and discarded by those professing to represent them, he was a truth-teller, unbeholden to the System who might actually defend them against it. So they took a leap of faith, elected him President and hoped he would deliver on his promises to put America – and Americans - First.
Much to their delight – and much to the System’s horror – Trump spent his first term doing exactly what he said he would do. He delivered a booming economy, an enforced border, law and order and peace through strength.
I don’t know what more people expect or want from an American president. He literally accomplished everything you hire a chief executive to do – and he’s going to do it all again in a second term, only this time on steroids.
Having served in the Trump Treasury Department, I saw up close how he turned the U.S. economy around not once but twice: first, after eight long years of the suffocating Obama-Biden policies and resultant economic stagnation, and again when the country re-opened after the unprecedented COVID-era national economic shutdown.
Trump is the only leader who can and will restore the economy back to full vibrancy a third time. He will do it again for every American by reviving his proven, successful policies: making his 2017 tax cuts permanent and expanding tax relief for the middle class; removing the heavy hand of government by massively cutting regulations; unleashing our powerful energy sector to restore energy independence; and striking fairer trade deals and utilizing tariffs to onshore industry, revive U.S. manufacturing and protect American workers.
To this extraordinary economic agenda, he’s added some creative new initiatives, such as no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on social security benefits and making auto loan interest tax-deductible. All of his effective economic policies are designed to support the middle class, the working class and the poor – the very groups Harris and the Democrats profess to champion but who have gotten crushed the most by her cataclysmic inflation, no borders catastrophe, war on domestic energy production, collapse of law and order and smothering regulations.
The third time will once again be an economic charm, delivering yet another Goldilocks economy of robust growth, little to no inflation, unemployment at or near historic lows for every demographic group, and stunning increases in real wages.
Trump will make America affordable and prosperous again. He will also make us freer, safer, healthier and stronger.
The hour is very late. The country is hanging by a thread. Our only hope is to re-elect the sanitation worker, short-order cook, real estate developer who has sacrificed everything to Make America Great Again.
Let’s win this thing for him, for us, and for the country we love.
