Israeli lawmakers voted to ban UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, within the state on Monday. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reassured that this would not affect humanitarian aid flowing into Gaza for civilians in a statement.

"In the 90 days before this legislation goes into effect — and after — we stand ready to work with our international partners to ensure that Israel continues to facilitate humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza in a manner that does not threaten Israel’s security," he said, per NBC News.

All of UNRWA's operations and presence in the Jewish state will cease immediately.

The agency has been under fire ever since Hamas' October 7 massacre in Israel, after which it was discovered that some of the terrorists were employed there. Some had even participated in the massacre itself.

Out of the roughly 100 militants who had been identified as UNRWA employees by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 9 were ultimately terminated after the agency admitted they “may have been involved” in October 7.
