KENNY CODY: Trump's war on Biden is working

President Trump is doing all of the right things leading up to November.

President Trump is doing all of the right things leading up to November.

As the country comes down the pike on the way to the 2024 Presidential Election in November, the race between former President Donald Trump and incumbent President Joe Biden is heating up, with Trump going as scorched earth as he ever has. With attacks on Biden’s fitness for office, his weaponization of federal and state judiciaries against political opponents, and his propping up of culturally Marxist ideologies as a representation of the current administration, Trump is laying down the law with some of the most intense rhetoric since his 2016 campaign. Not only has Trump capitalized on attempting to paint Biden as an incompetent tyrant, but one that continues to bend to the far, progressive left on issues such as foreign policy and open border-centered immigration policies.

Arguably, the border crisis and the war in Israel are two of the most vitriolic and polarizing issues in the political realm, and Biden continues to fail on both. On Israel, Trump most recently targeted Biden for refusing to supply Israel with weapons if an invasion of Rafah launched, stating that Biden was abandoning the country in favor of how pro-Palestinian Democrats have pressured him on the conflict. Of course, this issue has intensified due to the anti-Semitic rhetoric coming from those on the far left who have constantly been protesting in urban cities and college campuses all over The United States.

With even some of the most ardent Democrats, such as Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), speaking out against the Biden administration’s handling of the war in Gaza and its message to Hamas extremists, the pressure on foreign policy continues to mount on the President. Luckily for Trump, he has one of the best records in history for his pro-Israeli rhetoric, policy, and alliance with the country, and he continues to capitalize on how he would handle the conflict differently. In addition to pushing the narrative that Biden is pro-Hamas in the Gaza conflict, Trump even told several wealthy donors he would move to punish pro-Palestinian protestors by deporting them from the country. In bolstering his record with Israel by being anti-Iran, and “breaking them” to the point of no funding for Hezbollah being possible, Trump can continue to pressure Biden on his weakened stance against Hamas.

On the immigration crisis, Trump continues to go back to his bread-and-butter campaign issues, stating that he would support a mass deportation of illegal immigrants as one of his first policy positions of a second term. With border crossings over the Mexican border averaging around 2 million per year since 2021, there are around zero arguments that Joe Biden can make about what he is doing to solve an evident crisis. It seems as if President Biden and his administration believe that the citizenship pathways he is farming out to illegal aliens in the United States are the route to getting elected, as he plans to implement a federal protection plan within the coming weeks.

Trump, however, is proving that his positions of deportation, a border wall, and a strengthened ICE are the ones American voters around the country want to see carried out. Illegal immigration has continued to rise as one of the most critical issues in the country that needs to be addressed, even over other issues like the economy, healthcare, or even inflation. Trump’s plan to mass deport all illegal aliens across the country is now polling better than it ever has, with 51% of Americans and 45% of Hispanics warming up to the policy proposal. Mass immigration has helped lead to the downfall of American culture, with jobs being put at risk, as well as the influx of deadly drugs such as fentanyl coming over the Mexican border in mass. Trump will win on this issue as he keeps reinforcing his strength, while differing from Biden in rhetoric and potential policy rollouts leading up to the November election.

President Trump is doing all of the right things leading up to November, honing in on all of Biden’s weaknesses while propping up his strengths on how he would implement meaningful policy change on issues such as mass illegal immigration deportation and how he would handle the war in Gaza. Mass deportation, a close relationship with Israel, and countering a shift in American culture towards those that despise the U.S. are all positions Trump will continue to capitalize on leading to the election. The former President’s strategy is working, consistently reflected in presidential polls in favor of Trump.

All roads currently lead to a second Trump term if he keeps his foot on the gas and continues to target Biden on all issues, foreign and domestic.
