An appeals court in Romania has ruled that Andrew Tate and his brother, Tristan, can be extradited to the United Kingdom after being arrested in Bucharest on a British warrant for sex crimes dating back to the early 2010s.

The infamous online influencers are expected to be dealt with by the English justice system as soon as court proceedings in Romania regarding a slew of other charges leveled against the brothers conclude.

In a statement, per Sky News, the court explained that it "rules to execute the arrest warrant and ... to postpone handing over the requested person until the final verdict in the criminal case argued at the Bucharest court."

The Bedfordshire Police obtained the warrant after being alerted by a lawyer representing four women accusing the Tates of rape and sexual assault that they were thinking about fleeing Romania.

"The Tate brothers assert that the timing and circumstances surrounding the reappearance of these allegations raise serious questions about the motives behind this legal action," a representative for the duo said in a statement after their arrest, per the Guardian. "The suggestion that Mr Tate’s rise to fame may have played a role in these developments adds another layer of distress and concern."

Both Andrew and Tristan, the statement continued, "unequivocally deny all allegations," and are "fully committed to challenging these accusations with unwavering determination and resolve."

Following the court's ruling, their representative added that the Tates would comply with measures put in place to prevent them from fleeing the country.

The brothers are facing numerous rape and human trafficking charges in a separate case in Romania. They were detained in 2022 and sent to jail, but were later transferred to house arrest. While authorities allowed them to travel around the country, they were not permitted to cross any borders.
