KENNY CODY: MAGA should embrace the 'Brutal American' label

Recently, the leftist tripe that is The Atlantic published an article entitled "The Rise of the Brutal American." Essentially, the column painted Americans who had voted for Trump as brutal, uncaring, and unapologetic about their lack of previous empathy for countries and their people other than their own. This brutality is painted as a negative by the columnist Anne Applebaum to describe her fellow Americans and the European view of what is going on in The United States in the second Trump Term due to her visits to Berlin, Vilnius, and Warsaw.

Throughout the piece, Applebaum describes the European perception of MAGA conservatives and America as a whole as one of coldness towards countries such as Ukraine and repels the rejection of aid to oppose Russia as a foreign enemy. They genuinely believe the populist, nationalist identity that so many Americans have adopted after the MAGA movement is evil, cold, and brutal.

The Trump Administration's moves to cut foreign aid from countries like Ukraine and foreign funds to countries that do not aid America at all, while using tariffs as an economic negotiation tactic have caused many of our critics overseas to paint us as imperials. Americans see these moves as simply prioritizing their own country. Still, Europeans and leftist Americans like Anne Applebaum care far too much about forming a globalist union with the rest of the world.

This view by these European narcissists comes from the shattered illusions of years past when they could run over our country, spend our taxpayer dollars on war and unfair trade deals, and continue to help drive the American worker into the ground with no benefit coming to The United States or its people. This was when Europe thought we were a noble and honorable ally, but it was because we left them alone to fight and fund their battles for once.

From an outsider's perspective, what The Atlantic and Europeans think about it may come off as genuine. America has changed its view on kowtowing to the rest of the world whilst forgetting about its people. Citizens in The United States over the last four years have had their jobs stolen by immigrants, struggled with the housing market, witnessed their families' children sent to war, and dealt with the impacts of inflation through the deliberate tarnishing of the American economic identity. Now, they are expected to care about how it has hurt the rest of the world's feelings because Americans are finally embracing that we need to care about our country and our nation's people before all else, just like every other country in the world wishes it could.

The 'brutal American' is a patriot who has seen enough and demands change now, before it's too late for them and their family. President Trump tirelessly championed the cause of everyday United States citizens, providing them with a platform to stand up to corporate interests, the military-industrial complex, and the mainstream media. The MAGA movement, a united and diverse coalition unlike any America has ever seen, brought together union workers, Democrats, independents, moderates, and the most right-wing conservatives to challenge the deep state establishment that has plagued our nation for years.

Americans should not lend any credibility to the European or elitist journalist's opinion, as depicted in The Atlantic's piece. Europe's influence as a continental superpower is waning. Their nations are grappling with a migrant crisis they struggle to resolve without upsetting their oligarchs. Americans, standing strong and independent, reject the neoconservative foreign policy positions that send their children to die in wars they have no say in, and their leaders are perceived as some of the most spineless politicians in the world.

Honestly, the 'Brutal American' descriptor makes MAGA look invigorating. It seems as if every time the Left tries to paint conservatives as authoritarian monsters, they instead make us look like rebellious anti-heroes that people watch on movies and television.

We should embrace the idea of the brutal American. We are brutally fighting against the cultural Marxist left, both in foreign and domestic policy. This includes opposing policies that we believe undermine American values and traditions, such as open borders and political correctness. Our concentration must always put America first, as brutally and honestly as possible.
