Ukrainian Defense Intelligence (HUR) has released a video that they say shows Ukrainian naval drones destroying a Russian missile boat carrying 40 Russian soldiers off the coast of Crimea.

HUR spokesperson Andriy Yusov told the Kyiv Post: "Ukrainian naval drones are proving to be extremely effective."

Analysts from the Kyiv Post also reported that the footage shows a Russian-manufactured warship being hit before it "rolled to the stern and then sank."

Although the HUR did not mention which type of drones were used in the attack, the Post reports that Kyiv has been using its "Sea Baby Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs)" in recent months which were used to destroy part of the Crimean Bridge in July 2023.

It is known that the drones were controlled with satellites and "also featured a new hull design with a rising skiff-like bow compared to older naval drones in use."

They are capable of carrying 800kg of TNT with a minimum range of 800km according to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
