BREAKING: Suspect charged with attempted murder after Dublin stabbing of 3 children

The Algerian immigrant who allegedly horrifically stabbed three children and one woman outside a Dublin school last month in a crazed, random attack has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.

50-year-old Riad Bouchaker, of no fixed abode, appeared before Dublin District Court on Thursday, BBC reports. He spoke only to the Arabic interpreter during the hearing.

The court heard that Bouchaker at one point had told Gardaí "I am a sick person" after he was apprehended.

The children and woman, a school care worker, were all seriously wounded by the immigrant who wielded a 36cm kitchen knife. The woman and a 5-year-old girl are still in critical condition in the hospital.

Additionally, Bouchaker was charged with assault causing harm to two other children and a French man who tried to intervene.

Judge Byran Smyth remanded Bouchaker in custody. He will appear before Cloverhill District Court on December 28th via videolink, according to local news outlet Dublin People.

Protests erupted across Ireland after it was discovered that the accused was an Algerian national, with even MMA legend Conor McGregor weighing in on the matter. He called the suspect a "mentally deranged non national in Dublin, Ireland” and warned, “there is grave danger among us in Ireland that should never be here in the first place.”

Bouchaker was known to the police and was arrested earlier in the year for having possession of a knife and damage to a car.

According to The Times, the suspect was the "subject of a deportation order."

"However, after a judicial review in the High Court his deportation order was revoked. Sources said in 2008 the Department of Justice granted the man leave to stay in Ireland," the Times reported.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
