Former Secretary of State John Kerry, who’s been dubbed President Biden’s “climate czar,” appeared before the House Foreign Affairs Committee last Thursday where he was grilled about his personal contribution to carbon emissions.
Kerry was asked a question by Representative Cory Mills about his history of private jet usage while speaking out about the drastic consequences that carbon emissions have on the environment. When asked about this, Kerry stated that it was “one of the most outrageously persistent lies” that he has heard. Kerry also claimed that he has never personally owned a private jet.
But Flight tracking data obtained by Fox News Digital tells a different story. Over the course of the Biden administration’s first 18 months in office, John Kerry’s family made nearly 50 trips lasting more than 60 hours on Kerry’s family-owned jet. This has resulted in an estimated 715,886 pounds of carbon.
Kerry is correct in stating that he “personally” has never owned a private jet… because his family’s jet is officially owned by his wife.
The hypocrisy of Kerry’s actions is obvious: Kerry speaks out about the catastrophic dangers of carbon emissions while he lives a lifestyle of carelessness towards the environment.
It’s not uncommon for so-called climate activists like Kerry to live a life of hypocrisy. Earlier this year when the political elites traveled to the World Economic Forum Summit in Davos, over 500 flights were used to transport the climate change doomsdayers in and out of the city. A large percentage of these flights covered a distance of less than 62 miles.
Kerry’s dishonesty and hypocrisy has sparked heavy criticism from a number of congressmen. Representative Mike Waltz took to Twitterto point out the same thing we’re all thinking:
“John Kerry is preaching climate change while he & his family fly on private jets,” Representative Waltz tweeted. “That smacks of hypocrisy as he’s asking everyday Americans to make sacrifices.“
