Pelosi and her Democrats had pushed the idea, forcefully, that the Capitol riot of January was an "armed insurrection." They engaged in a multi-year investigation, and Biden's Department of Justice continues to arrest civilians who attended that riot. More than 1,000 have been arrested so far, and the DOJ estimates that another 1,000 will be arrested.
Posobiec was speaking to Bannon about what Russian President Vladimir Putin has called "treason," the uprising of the Wagner Group, led by one-time Putin ally Yevgeny Prigozhin, who is pushing his forces toward Moscow.
Those forces have reportedly overtaken Rostov, where tanks could be seen driving through the streets.
"Poso, your thoughts," Bannon asked. "Is this Bloods v. Crips?"
Posobiec gave details about Prigozhin, saying "Once Wagner, once those guys understand what they're actually up against right now– and a lot of this really does fall down to Prigozhin. This guy, he's very independently wealthy over the past 8 to 10 years of warfare. He's extremely personally wealthy.
"It looks like they just confiscated a bunch of this money up in St. Petersburg that they claimed– that Prigozhin himself has admitted was going to be paid out to the Wagner troops, the Wagner forces.
"Obviously we're hugely in the fog of war here. We have no clue specifically what's going on," Posobiec said. He addressed reports that Russian helicopters had been shot down, saying that other reports indicated that these were flares. Additionally, he said that it appeared Wagner forces had taken Russian tanks, evidenced by the white Z of Russian forces emblazoned on the side of those tanks having been replaced with red ones, indicating Wagner.
However, he noted that the tanks were muzzled, and no one was firing weapons in the videos out of Rostov.
Posobiec noted, too, that Russian instability would not be at all good for Ukraine, calling that notion "ridiculous" and "shortsighted."
"There are generals within the Kremlin, the hardliners, that have wanted to glass Kiev since day one… and those guys view Prigozhin as an opportunity, potentially, to go harder on everything that's gone on inside Ukraine.
"So this idea that this instability within Russia is somehow good for Ukraine, good for Europe, ultimately good for the world, I think it is ridiculous, I think it's short-sighted, I think it is very, very foolhardy."

Prigozhin's forces had previously taken the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut, then turned it over to the Russian military.
"Last night," Putin said in a speech, "I spoke to the commander of the southern troops. This is a criminal, adventuristic campaign. It is equivalent to armed mutinty. Russia will defend itself and will repel this criminal move. We are fighting for the life and the security of our citizens, and our territorial integrity."
"This is an attempt to subvert us from inside," Putin said. "This is treason in the face of those who are fighting on the front. This is a stab in the back of our troop and the people of Russia."
