On Tuesday, Elon Musk gave a shoutout to the "Sound of Freedom" film on Twitter. "Sound of Freedom" portrays Tim Ballard, the CEO and founder of Operation Underground Railroad (OUR). OUR is a non-profit that combats the sex-trafficking of minors around the world.
Musk tweeted in response to the trailer, “I recommend putting it on this platform for free for a brief period or just asking people to subscribe to support (we would not keep any funds).” The trailer, originally posted in May, has the caption, “Sound of Freedom comes to theaters July 4th. Help us get 2 million people into theaters opening week to remember the 2 million children who are trafficked each year.”

"Sound of Freedom" will star Jim Caviezel as Ballard. Caviezel also played the role of Jesus in the 2004 film, "The Passion of Christ."
Acquired by Angel Studios earlier in 2023, "Sound of Freedom" portrays Ballard and the conception of OUR as an organization when he left his job at Homeland Security. Ballard himself has told the story in several different interviews at PragerU and with Glenn Beck.
When Musk acquired Twitter in November, he tweeted, “Removing child exploitation is priority #1,” in response to a user inquiring about accounts containing pedophilic content being removed from the platform. The support of the film appears to be part of Musk’s ongoing efforts to fight back against the exploitation of minors.
The suggestion from Musk received a response from the Sound of Freedom Movie account, which read, “That's an interesting idea. Let's chat!” Tickets to the film are selling for the showing on July fourth.
The possible launch on Twitter comes on the heels of the streaming of "What is a Woman," which garnered over 180 million views on Twitter.
One user said in response to both films, “What is a Woman exposes the attack on our innocent children and has been seen over 94 million times and growing. When the movie Sound of Freedom releases July 4 2023 we as humanity need to make sure the world sees it also. It is the true story of global child sex trafficking.”
What is a Woman was endorsed by Musk when he tweeted out, “Every parent should watch this,” while pinning the stream to his Twitter profile.
