Jack Posobiec of Human Events and War Room’s Natalie Winters discussed the immense support that former President Donald Trump received as he arrived in Miami on Tuesday afternoon to appear in a federal court after being indicted. With Winters in Miami to cover the situation, Posobiec asked what the support looked like.
Winters responded by saying that those in attendance were “overwhelmingly in support of Trump,” adding that there were helicopters flying around in the area. She noted that of all the people there, there were about 90 percent pro-Trump and 10 percent anti-Trump. She said that there were easily more than one thousand people in attendance. Winters described the Trump supporters as high in both “quantity” and “quality,” suggesting that many people had traveled around 12 hours just to support the former president and 2024 GOP frontrunner.
She noted that there were members of the Trump campaign team in attendance, and that she overheard a “security system” of a police officer claim that “the package has arrived,” meaning that Trump had made it to the location.
Posobiec responded: “The package has arrived in Miami.” The host said that Biden’s Department of Justice had indicted the top opposition candidate, which should not be something that happens in advanced democracies. Posobiec said that he noticed that there were no barricades to keep the protesters and counter-protesters separated, and he asked Winters why the Miami mayor did not do something to ensure that there would not be a potential altercation.
Winters replied: “That’s what’s so interesting. And I want to even step back a little bit, because the media presence here, I don't think I could overestimate it. I mean, there are well over 100 tents with every different outlet, [and] within those tents, there are dozens of people. I've never seen an event so packed like this.”
“The media isn't necessarily here to see Trump, right? They're waiting here for something to go wrong so they can parade tonight. And probably for the next decade, saying, ‘Look, Trump supporters, they're domestic terrorists. They're everything we say they are.’”
She continued by saying that the only partition is yellow police tape, which she said had started to melt and fall down from the heat in Miami. “So there really is no meaningful, physical blockades, and when it comes to the sort of arrangement or assortment of the protesters, for instance, when the bomb threat happened, there really is no meaningful separation between the pro- and anti-Trump [people].”
