Biden is prosecuting Trump for retaining classified documents after he left office, something it has been discovered Biden did when he left the office of the Vice President in 2016, even though as VP he had no right to do so, whereas Trump did as president in 2020. Trump held onto 11 boxes, while Biden held onto more than 1800. Yet, the DOJ gives Biden a pass and seeks prison time for Trump. This is the first time in US history that the federal government has sought to criminally prosecute a former president.
And it's telling that it's being done at a time when Trump seeks the GOP nomination to again run for the office of the presidency and has Biden running scared in the polls. The National Archives claims that they have spent countless hours trying to get the boxes back, but they've let Biden's record hoarding slide and have offered no reason why the 11 boxes of Trump are more essential than the 1850 boxes held by Biden.
The concern given for Trump's documents is that they could become visible to people who should not see them–but is that concern any less real when considering that Biden's documents were sitting in a garage near his Corvette? The reasons given as to why the DOJ is prosecuting Trump for these boxes, and not Biden for his, are transparently partisan on their face.
Biden's DOJ is also seeking to prosecute Trump for an alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Recounts, alternate slates of electors in the event that those recounts came out favorable, and finally the accusation that Trump staged a riot to prevent the certification of the election results. The congressional Special Committee on January 6 spent over two years seeking to determine that Trump had intended to not engage in a peaceable transition of power–they could not do it. Trump left office at the end of his term with a peaceful transition of power, as has every other president in American history.
But that isn't stopping the Department of Justice from trying to do everything it can to prevent Trump from becoming president again. They hate that he won in 2016 and did everything they could in 2020 to stop him from taking a second term.
From an egregious use of political power to dissuade social media and mainstream media outlets from printing the truth, to insane balloting procedures such as the mass institution of mail-in-voting under the guise of a Covid-19 pandemic, to the use of deep state tactics to make the truth look like disinformation, efforts to tank Trump proved successful.
Trump is the biggest threat to the Biden administration, the Democrats, and the establishment GOP. These are the people who want America to continue funding foreign wars, to undermine the American economy, to line China's pockets in the name of sustainable energy, and to perpetrate gender ideology and critical race theory across the country.
Trump is a flawed man, as are all men who seek power, this is not in dispute. But he is not owned by any foreign power–Biden is. He is not beholden to any ideology–Biden is. Trump does not want to trans the kids, take away the American people's rights, bankrupt the country for his own personal gain, entrench the nation in foreign wars, or destroy our national borders and national identity–Biden does.
When looking at the national political landscape, American voters must ask themselves: why are Democrats so intent on prosecuting Trump for the very crimes they themselves have committed? Why are they so eager to take the choice of who should lead away from US voters? Why are they constantly fabricating lies about Trump and feeding them to the media, pundits and pols?
It's not because they care about democracy, the nation, or our citizens. It is only because they want to hold power, use it to further their own interests, enrich their own bank accounts, and Trump's presidency disrupted that. They simply can't afford to let it happen again.
