A trans-identified male admitted to kidnapping a young girl and sexually assaulting her over a 27-hour period.

A British man who identifies as transgender has admitted that he kidnapped a primary school girl while he was dressed as a woman. He reportedly sexually assaulted the girl at his home in the Scottish Borders, per the BBC.

Andrew Miller, 53, who also goes by Amy George, asked the 11-year-old girl if she wanted a ride back to her house in February, but he instead drove her to his house. And it was there that he subjected the girl to various sexual assaults over the next 27 hours.

The girl was only able to escape after Miller had fallen asleep on the second night of the abuse. She called 999 and the police evidently arrived within minutes, according to the High Court of Edinburgh. Though Miller has three children, he lives alone, and he was reportedly still asleep when the authorities showed up to arrest him.

The court was soon told that Miller identifies as transgender, and that he was in the process of transitioning into a female. Judge Lord Arthurson told Miller that he had confessed to “abhorrent crimes” of the utmost “deviance and depravity,” which were part of the “realization of every parent’s worst nightmare.” The young girl did not know Miller leading up to the abduction.

The report noted that the girl told police that she had missed the bus on the way home, and so she started walking when she was approached by “a lady in a car” who offered to give her a ride home. The young girl said that she got in the car because she was cold and felt that the “lady” was non-threatening.

Miller reportedly took the girl to his home in the village of Gattonside, where he placed his hand around her neck and led her to the main bedroom, where he sexually assaulted her, per Reduxx. He also subjected the minor to pornography and fetish videos on the television, with the girl describing the material as “weird.”

When the girl asked for Miller to take her home, he refused and said that she was going to be part of his new family. The court noted that it was only by “complete fortune” that the girl was able to escape the horrific scene. After Miller fell asleep on the second day, the girl purposely knocked over a glass and turned on a light to see if he would wake up. When he did not, she quickly called the authorities from Miller’s landline.

The authorities apparently discovered Miller asleep, wearing silicone breasts, a bra, and female pants and tights, per the report. The girl was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital to be examined.

Detective Chief Inspector Bryan Burns said the victim and her family had shown "incredible courage and strength throughout this ordeal."

"This was a significant investigation and I would like to thank all those involved for their professionalism and commitment during what was an extremely challenging inquiry," he added. "Andrew Miller has pled guilty to serious offending and will now face the consequences of his actions."

Miller pleaded guilty to charges at the High Court in Edinburgh via videolink that include abduction, sexual assault, posession of 242 indecent images of children, and intentionally causing a child under the age of 13 to look at a sexual image, according to the BBC.

Miller will be sentenced at a later date, with the court considering an order for lifelong restriction, which includes a prison sentence from which Miller would be released only if the parole board felt it was safe to do so. He will also be monitored for the rest of his life.
