Viral video shows child 'twerking' for adults at Melbourne bar

"Are you kidding? Please say you are. Bloody hell."

"Are you kidding? Please say you are. Bloody hell."

A viral video has surfaced from the Rooftop bar in Melbourne, Australia that shows a child twerking on stage for adults, who cheer the child on, taking photos and recording videos of the affair. It is uncertain why the child was allowed in the bar, or if there were other children present at the event.

Twitter user Farrah posted a video of the weird incident, saying: "Victorians!! This is in Melbourne, at the Rooftop Bar. Can you see how wrong this is?!"

However, it appears that there were those who did not see a problem with the incident. One Twitter user responded to Farrah's video, saying: "How conveniently you forget that that's how most toddlers dance when they're first learning to walk." Farrah did not take well to the comment, responding: "Are you kidding? Please say you are. Bloody hell."

The comment might have made some sense if the young child were anywhere near the age when youngsters start walking, but the child apears to be between three or four years old. Another Twitter user lamented, asking where the parents of the child were, to which Farrah responded: "Cheering her on? Or, it's Victoria, so maybe they've been arrested for trying to prevent their child from twerking in front of a large group of drunken adults??"

Farrah also took a screenshot of an exchange among three Twitter users, who were apparently in disagreement about the sexual implications of the child being told to get up on the stage and twerk in front of a group of potentially drunken adults.

Twitter user CosmicD said: "iT's NoT AbOuT SeXuAlIzInG ChIlDrEn"

Twitter user McCREAtive PIX responded: "Shouldn't be but some will see it that way, to me it's just a child having fun, but you don't know what is in the heads of those watching."

A third Twitter user, Tony444, said: "Really?"

To which McCREAtive PIX responded: "Yes what kind of person sees anything sexual in that?"

The bar also apparently had a trans flag hanging from the oustide of their establishment. On the Rooftop's Instagram page, they posted: "It's trans visibility day so this is what the top of Curtain House looks like, unwavering love to the community today & every other day."

An Instagram user responded to the post, saying: "Worth getting ya staff some gender training, I dj'd there and they weren't very nice."

It is not difficult to see that there is the potential for adults sexualizing this child, given the cultural shift of the trans community overtly targeting children through hyper-sexualized drag shows and attempting to normalize what has been termed "minor attracted persons" (MAP), which is just a masqueraded term to mean pedophile.
