CHARLIE KIRK: Why Tucker Carlson should use Rumble, Twitter and work toward creating 'a whole ecosystem of options'

TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk spoke to Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow to about the much speculated upon future of former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson, who has recently announced that he is going to make future content available on Twitter.

Marlow said it “is a bad time” right now for corporate accountability, noting that Google had recently given $100 million to the New York Times, thus buying them off. Marlow was referring to Google’s recent deal with the NYT, which will allow Google to host some of the NYT’s content on some of its platforms, per Reuters. Given this landscape, Marlow broached concern about how Carlson will push back against the mainstream media, even as the largest news platform just pushed him out.

Kirk said that his “public and private advice to Tucker” would be to refrain from only posting to Twitter, but rather pick a handful of media outlets that can host content. “I think that Rumble is one of the great potential opportunities to challenge YouTube. We need to create a whole ecosystem of options, and that's why I love what Public Square is doing.”

Kirk went on to suggest that viewing habits of the American people has changed, which has revealed the immense amount of viewers Carlson has had on the few videos he has posted on Twitter since he departed from Fox News. Kirk added that Carlson’s latest video garnered “ 25.4 million views” and “121 million people saw it,” going on to compare Carlson’s viewership with that of the Super Bowl.

Kirk continued: “That's way more than what he was getting even on Fox. It's way more than he can get on any network. And I mean, this is how we've been distributing. Obviously, we've been doing it through Rumble.”

“We've been doing it for everything. I want to see this trend continue because, Alex, if enough of us that have something to say challenge the pre-existing orthodoxies that are on these networks, it'll be harder to censor us, it'll be harder to shut us up. It's easier to shut us up if we all go to the same one or two cable news channels.”
