Trans predator sentenced to 9 years for raping 'vulnerable friend' after release from UK jail for child sex crimes

"Given your previous record of offending, these convictions are particularly serious, given that the victim was your friend and a friend you knew to be vulnerable herself."

A man who identifies as trans has been sentenced to nine years in jail in Bristol, England, for raping a person who has been characterized as a "vulnerable" friend. The news comes after the sexual predator was recently released from jail for committing child sex crimes, per the Daily Mail.

Lexi-Rose Crawford, 24, has reportedly been identifying as a woman since being released on license for having sexual relations with an underage girl Crawford reportedly met online. Crawford was initially sentenced to four years in jail for the offense.

A jury listened to the report of the crime that Crawford recently carried out, which happened after taking a PlayStation console to the address of a friend so that they could play video games, per the report. The Crawford, who was referred to as "Miss" throughout the trial in March, was found guilty of rape and sexual assault and was subsequently sent to Bristol Crown Court to be sentenced on Wednesday.

The judge reportedly told Crawford: "Given your previous record of offending, these convictions are particularly serious, given that the victim was your friend and a friend you knew to be vulnerable herself."

"You were a guest in her home at the time. That is also especially shocking and the sense of betrayal is perfectly understandable."

The victim reportedly wrote a personal impact statement that was ultimately shared with the court, and it said that she had been so traumatized by the experience that she moved out of her house and attempted to kill herself.

She noted: "Before that day I did have some mental health issues such as PTSD but I believe I was making progress. What Lexi did that day sent me back to square one."

"I was having flashbacks and night terrors about what happened. I could not live there anymore and became homeless."

She continued: "Lexi was supposed to be my friend and I feel betrayed by her."

Gregory Gordon, the prosecutor in the case, noted that Crawford "now identifies as female" and was reportedly "good friends" with the victim. He said that Crawford had contacted the victim via Facebook, and he eventually arrived at her address.

Gordon said: "She [Crawford] sat on the sofa and went to kiss the victim who said 'no, stop' because she wasn't her girlfriend."

Gordon noted that Crawford pulled the victim down to the floor and was not heeding the victim's pleas for him to stop.

Gordon continued: "She [Crawford] began to touch the victim sexually - (the victim) pulled the defendant's hands away. She said 'stop, I don't want this' making it abundantly clear."

"She [Crawford] was told repeatedly to stop but wouldn't listen."

The rape indictment went on to say that "her penis" was used during the rape. Crawford had claimed to suffer blackouts during the attack, but this defense was quickly dismissed as a "convenient excuse" by prosecutors.

The jury arrived at a guilty verdict just two hours into deliberations.
