NBA Star Dwayne Wade has been making headlines lately, receiving thanks and support for his advocacy of the LGBTQ+ community and so-called “trans rights.” The former basketball player recently received an award from the NAACP for his support and acceptance of his trans daughter, Zaya, who was born a biological male.

During his acceptance speech, Dwyane Wade spoke about the challenges his daughter Zaya has faced as a trans person and the importance of supporting and loving trans individuals. The most disheartening comment made was when Wade said, “You made me a better human by simply being who you were born to be, our baby girl, Zaya Wade.”

It’s distributing to hear a grown man not lead his son to accept who he is and become the man he is supposed to be. It is becoming far too common for celebrities to let their families fall apart due to social pressure and engage in this trend of raising transgender children. Not only is this proof that transgenderism can also be a social contagion, it is a direct attack on the concept of the nuclear family.

It broke my heart to watch Wade not take a stand and protect his son from radical indoctrination. Instead of teaching his son to be a strong, male figure, Wade is caving to the societal stigma that says you have to cater to people’s feelings rather than the truth.

The couple’s support of their trans daughter has been widely praised by many in the LGBTQ+ community. Their advocacy has been masked in the illusion by thinking and saying that it has helped to bring greater visibility to the struggles and challenges faced by trans individuals, and has helped to promote greater acceptance and understanding. When in reality, it has added to the false narrative that men can be women and women can be men just because they “feel” like it.
