The Left is asleep at the wheel and desperately needs a wake-up call.

There is no person angrier and more unaware of his surroundings than a leftist that is rudely awoken from their utopian ideas of “free-everything.” The harsh light of day cuts directly through every leftist dream, and the reality is simply too much to bear.

That’s why leftists simply lie about their worldview when threatened with common sense. You are not allowed to ruin the dream for them, because their delusions are all they have. And if reality challenges these ideas (see, natural biology), then they simply redefine reality!

The most recent attempt to perpetuate the leftist dream of American utopia comes from the horrendous “Inflation Reduction Act” that might soon be passed in the Senate. Without knowing anything about this bill, you would think that it reduces skyrocketing inflation. That would be great, considering this administration keeps spending your money as if it belongs to them.

But the ability of the Inflation Reduction Act to reduce inflation is just the dream — and it’s not the American Dream that your parents once knew.

Fortunately, Post Millennial correspondent and TPUSA Ambassador Katie Daviscourt has done the research to empower you to shake awake the leftists in your life and bring them back to reality before it’s too late. In a recent piece for The Post Millennial, Daviscourt demonstrates that the Biden Administration is actually imposing even harsher taxes on every single American, including those living in poverty.

This ripple effect is enormous. Business owners, responsible for bringing you the goods you need on a daily basis, will simply pass their increased costs onto you. Unsurprisingly, this will raise the price of virtually every good and service — not reduce it.

As Daviscourt reports, it is standard business practice to pass off expenses to consumers in order to mitigate losses. But our current president, who has never held a real free-market job in his life, unfortunately doesn’t understand this simple cause and effect. In his dream — and the dreams of every leftist — government handouts always solve everything.

Reality does not work this way, and this plan sounds much more like a nightmare than a dream.

In fact, this new bill is a reduction to inflation, simply because the left needs it to be. And that’s where conservatives must step in and shake the left awake.

We do not simply redefine terms to reflect the outcome we’d like. We define the world based on the observations that are true — and it’s true that the Inflation Reduction Act does anything but reduce inflation.

Gathering data from the Joint Committee on Taxation, reporting from the Daily Wire, and University of Pennsylvania researchers,  Daviscourt shows that the Inflation Reduction Act does the same thing that every leftwing policy does in times of national crisis: make things worse for the middle class.

At best, the data shows the Inflation Reduction Act reducing inflation at “point estimates [that] are statistically indistinguishable from zero,” according to Katie’s findings reported by the Daily Wire. In my opinion, the incompetence of this bill is completely indicative of the kind of leadership we’re seeing from this White House. But as Katie makes clear, this bill isn’t actually devoted to reducing inflation.

At worst, the Inflation Reduction Act will actually cause more inflation — and will impose greater tax increases on all earners, including those who make less than $10,000 each year. That’s right, this new bill will take more money away from you.

All of this means that — in this nightmare — every single person is about to lose more money. In order to deny this fact, the administration is going to simply redefine reality. This is the only way that the dream can continue.

The truth is, nobody is safe from President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act. This is a nightmare we all will have to live through while awake.

According to the research Daviscourt cites from the Join Committee on Taxation, “those making under $10,000 will see a .3% increase in their federal taxes; those making between $30,000 and $75,000 will see a .1% increase; those making between $75,000 and $100,000 a .2% increase; those making between $100,000 and $500,000 a .3% increase; those making between $500,000 and $1,000,000 a .5% increase; and those making over $1,000,000 a year will see a .6% increase.”

This means that every single taxpayer — from those making six and seven figures, all the way down to those struggling below poverty — will be paying “their fair share” to President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act.

Rude awakening or not, it’s time to bring the Left back to reality!
