Founder and CEO of Engineered Tax Services, Julio Gonzalez, joins Brent Hamachek on Friday’s episode of Human’s Making News: The Dissident’s Desk to discuss fiscal and economic policy and how the privately owned, small business community has been damaged by reckless government spending and attempts at social engineering.

With a special emphasis placed on Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” proposals, Gonzalez and Hamachek discuss how the current American centralized government and economic planning model bears a strong resemblance to the fascist model that was created in the early 20th century and adopted in places like Italy, Germany, and Spain.

In a written submission to Human Events where he outlined his thoughts, Gonzalez said this, in part:

Yes, it’s very nice to want nice things—but how are you going to pay for them?

That’s the question I’d like to pose to the White House today. President Biden’s Build Back Better Reconciliation Bill has many laudable goals…but let’s take a closer look at some of the line items in his proposed budget:

  •  Clean energy tax credits ($320 billion): Ten-year expanded tax credits for utility-scale and residential clean energy
  • Resilience investments ($105 billion): Investments and incentives to address extreme weather, including the creation of a Civilian Climate Corps
  • Investments and incentives for clean energy technology, manufacturing, and supply chains ($110 billion): Includes solar, batteries, and advanced materials
  • Clean energy procurement ($20 billion): Allowing the government to purchase next gen technologies
  • Housing: $150 billion investment in housing affordability and housing assistance, including in rural areas

And this is just a sample of the C.O.D. bill that President Biden is sending America! Here’s a list of other social welfare programs that he’s proposing to fund—but there’s no clear price tag attached!

  • Universal preschool for all three- and four-year olds (an estimated six million children) for the next six years
  • Affordable high-quality child care for the next six years for approximately 20 million children
  • Better healthcare for older and disabled Americans
  • A one-year extension of the current expanded Child Tax Credit for more than 35 million American households
  • Affordable Care Act Premium Tax Credits
  • Allowing Medicare to cover the cost of hearing
  • High school education and workforce development
  • Earned Income Tax Credit extended for one year for 17 million low-wage childless workers

Listen in for an insightful conversation on economic and fiscal policy between two experienced business leaders.
