New Jersey Senator and presidential candidate Cory Booker's Twitter and Facebook feeds revealed photos posted in support of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.

"May the unity and spirit of the march continue to live on," the tweet read. It also contained a photo of the Million Man March. In the photo, a protestor was holding a sign depicting Farrakhan with the words 'freedom, justice, and equality' written across the bottom.

Booker was recently criticized for stating he would likely meet with Farrakhan despite the Nation of Islam leader's racist comments.

"I have heard Minister Farrakhan's speeches for a lot of my life... I am very familiar with Minister Louis Farrakhan and his beliefs and his values,” Booker told the crowd at a campaign event in Nevada/

Senator Booker said he would not be opposed to meeting with Farrakhan, who has referred to Jews as "satanic" and called Adolf Hitler a "great man".

"I’m not one of these people that says I wouldn’t sit down with anybody to hear what they have to say."

The Farrakhan comments come days after the Senator for New Jersey criticized 2020 Democratic presidential nomination opponent Joe Biden for speaking similarly about segregationists.

At a fundraiser last week, Biden spoke highly of his relationship with Senators James O. Eastland and Herman Talmadge, both segregationists. Biden served in the Senate with Eastland and Talmadge in the 1970s.

Booker called upon Biden to apologize for his comments lauding the pair.

"Vice President Biden’s relationships with proud segregationists are not the model for how we make America a safer and more inclusive place for black people, and for everyone. I’m disappointed that he hasn’t issued an immediate apology for the pain his words are dredging up for many Americans. He should.”

In 2018, Farrakhan told a crowd in Chicago: "The powerful Jews are my enemy".

He added: "Jews were responsible for all of this filth and degenerate behavior that Hollywood is putting out turning men into women and women into men.”

Farrakhan has called white people a "race of devils" and in 2015 said "White people deserve to die, and they know, so they think it’s us coming to do it."

In 1985, Farrakhan is alleged to have said: "And don't you forget, when it's God who puts you in the ovens, it's forever!"

Senator Booker did not make it clear whether these speeches are the ones he claims to have heard for "a lot of his life".
