David Leonhardt over at the New York Times tells us control of the Senate matters because of climate, the courts, and the future:
Control of the Senate still very much matters, just not for the most obvious reasons. It matters for climate policy and the Affordable Care Act, among other big issues. It also matters for the future prospects of major legislation, even if none is likely to pass in the next two years.
