A senior military analyst for Fox News enlightens students at Marquette University on the Iraq war in light of an anti-war filmmaker’s recent visit to campus.
Retired Army Lt. Col. Scott Rutter spoke Friday about his experiences in Iraq and the progress being made in the country reports the Marquette Tribune.
"… Rutter gave Marquette students an opportunity to hear someone who was actually there," said Daniel Maciejewski, president of Marquette University College Republicans.
In fact, Rutter’s speech changed the hearts and minds of some students.
Laura Ferrari, a freshman, tells the Tribune, "I was anti-war in general, but my views have changed since I realized what actually went on. …It’s refreshing to hear a real perspective from someone who was actually there."
This story speaks volumes about the pervasiveness of liberal indoctrination throughout higher education. Students have been brainwashed by their professors into believing that America’s actions in Iraq and the war on terror are unjustified and failures. Young intellects are being force-fed left-wing propaganda within the classroom. Conservative ideas and perspectives are simply ignored.
Ferrari’s quote to the Tribune sums it up, "I was anti-war in general, but my views have changed since I realized what actually went on. …It’s refreshing to hear a real perspective from someone who was actually there."
If more students were taught what was actually taking place throughout the world, I’m sure Ferrari’s sentiments would be echoed.
