"DON'T MESS WITH MARRIAGE IN TEXAS"

That was the message Texas voters sent to Washington last week—letting our nation's leaders know that family values is a top priority for them.

Anti-family activists outspent their proponents 10-to-1.  But Texans stood their ground.

Texas becomes the 19th state to pass a marriage-protection amendment.

Conservatives in Mississippi and liberals in Oregon have passed amendments to protect marriage.

The political repercussions are significant.

George W. Bush carried both Texas and Ohio in 2004.  Did you know the marriage amendment act got more votes than President Bush?

Bush promised to push the amendment in his State of the Union address earlier this year.  However, it is time that Washington gets the message from the American people it is time to pass a marriage protection amendment.  Don't you agree?
