Based on a mistaken reading of a contribution report supplied by the Federal Election Commission, Human Events erroneously reported earlier today, in a story briefly posted on our website, that White House Counsel Harriet Miers had contributed $250 to the Clinton for President Committee on Dec. 23, 1991.  Miers did not contribute to the Clinton for President Committee.

The contribution list provided by the FEC, however, does show that Ms. Harriet E. Miers of Dallas did contribute $1,000 to the Al Gore Jr. for President Committee on February 16, 1988 and $1,000 to the DNC Services Corporation/Democratic National Committee on November 3, 1988.
